(KAIR)--An Atchison man was taken into custody Monday night after allegedly threatening his estranged wife with a sharp object.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, police were called to a residence located in the 1100 block of Division Street just before 9:45 for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, the 40-year-old victim told them that 42-year-old Floyd Guliford had held a homemade sharp object to her neck earlier that evening.
Guliford was still at the scene, and taken into custody. He was booked into the Atchison County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault.
Wilson says the victim was not injured.
