(KNZA)--The Doniphan County Commission this week approved bids for the purchase of several new vehicles.
The commission accepted the low bid from Anderson Ford, of St. Joseph, for the purchase of two 2015 Ford F250 pickup trucks for the road and bridge department for $22,921 each. It was among four bids received. The pickups are for the First and Second Districts.
The Commission also accepted a bid for the purchase of a new delivery van for the county's Meals on Wheels program to replace one totaled in a single-vehicle wreck last month. The low bid was accepted from Aberle Ford, of Sabetha, for the purchase of 2015 Ford van in the amount of $21,834. It was among three bids received.
