(KAIR)--Atchison Child Care Association staff and parents of their students are coming together to host a fund raising event this weekend to help pay for security upgrades at the facility.
Parent Casey Quinn, who is helping to organize the event, says the upgrades have been planned for some time now, but several break ins over the past few months have made them a higher priority. The approximate fee for the upgrades is $12,000, and they can be installed as soon as the money is raised.
Quinn says the fund raising dinner will be held Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00 at the Cedar Ridge restaurant, and will include a salad, spaghetti or alfredo penne, a roll, chocolate chip cookies, tea, and water at a cost of $10 for adults and $4 for kids.
A second fund raising event is planned for the following Sunday evening from 5:00-10:00 at Willies Sports Pub. All customers who mention the fund raiser during that time will have 15% of their check donated to Atchison Child Care Association.
