(KLZA)-- The FFA Livestock Judging Contest took place on November 12, at Southeast Community College in Beatrice. 17 Falls City FFA members fought through the cold and judged 7 different livestock classes and were tested over their livestock knowledge.
Top contestants from Falls City were Sydney Brewer who finished 4th in the Junior Division, and Derik Eickhoff placing 6th in the Senior Division. A junior and senior team each placed 4th and qualify for the State Contest in the spring.
Other participants were Jordy Stoller, Luke Kirkendall, Lee Huettner, Jack Hartman, Coulton McCan, Cody Frederick, Dayton Mellage, Brooke Lotter, Megan Eickhoff, Erik Eickhoff, Jessi Dean, Matthew Rathje, Carter Hunzeker, Jared Frederick, and Joel Gifford.
