(KNZA)--A Wathena man will stand trial on charges stemming from a vehicle-pedestrian accident in July that injured a Doniphan County woman.
Following his preliminary hearing, 50-year-old Dean Cochran was bound over to Doniphan County District Court last week on charges of aggravated battery, driving under the influence and unlawful transportation of an open container of alcohol.
Arraignment has been scheduled for December 4th.
Authorities say Cochran was driving a pickup truck on July 20th when he struck 38-year-old Dee Anna Kelley as she was walking with her daughter on 190th Road in the Blair area. Kelley was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph where she was treated and released.
Cochran also faces a DUI charge in a separate case after he allegedly showed up intoxicated for a court hearing on September 11th.
He remains in the Doniphan County Jail.
