(KNZA)--The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of about $8,000 in cash and antique coins.
The sheriff’s department says the theft happened sometime between June and October of this year from 521 Nebraska Street in Wetmore.
The department is also investigating the criminal damage of three soda pop vending machines sometime late Sunday night or early Monday in Corning and Centralia.
Authorities say the machines were damaged in an attempt to remove money.
The total damage and loss was placed at more than $300.
Anyone with information on the crimes is asked to contact the Nemaha County Sheriff’s office.
