(KAIR)--Nearly two thousand Westar energy customers in Atchison County went without power for approximatly an hour Tuesday afternoon.
According to a representative from Westar, the outage was caused by birds interfering with a fuse at a local power substation. Crews were quickly dispatched to repair the problem, and power was completely restored shortly before 3:00.
