(KNZA)--A 26-year-old rural Troy man charged in the shooting death of his 25-year-old roommate last August is to be arraigned October 29th.
Eric Burge has been bound over to Doniphan County District Court on charges contained in an amended complaint of second-degree murder, or in the alternative involuntary manslaughter, along with felony criminal discharge of a firearm in an occupied dwelling, aggravated battery and a misdemeanor count of hosting minors in consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Burge is charged in the shooting death of Matthew Sollars. Sollars died August 13th, one day after the shooting at a residence where the two men resided southwest of Troy.
Burge was arrested last October following an investigation by the Doniphan County Sheriff's Department and Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
He remains in the Doniphan County Jail on a half million dollars bond.
