(KAIR)--A bar manager at the Atchison Elks Lodge is accused of the alleged theft of money from the lodge's bar.
According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, officials with the lodge discovered that approximately $5,000 was unaccounted for during a routine examination of bar records from March to August of this year. Police conducted an investigation into the matter last week which lead to the arrest of 31-year-old Atchison resident Janelle Hennigh Tuesday morning.
Hennigh was taken into custody on a charge of felony theft, and booked into the Atchison County Jail, with bond set at $10,000. She posted bond and was released early Tuesday afternoon.
