(KAIR)--Maur Hill-Mount Academy will be honoring one of it's most prominent alumni this weekend
Charley Carrigan, who graduated from the academy in 1972, will be presented with the Alumni of the Year award by the school's alumni association during the annual Homecoming Dinner Saturday evening.
Mick Hundley, who serves as President of the Maur Hill-Mount academy alumni association says that there are many reasons why Carrigan was chosen for the honor, such as his high support and dedication to the school. He is a past President of the Alumni Association, and has served as Vice President of the school's 500 club.
Hundley says that similar awards have been given in the school's past, but this is the first time it has been presented since the school merged.
Carrigan was also recognized during the Alumni Association's cocktail hour, which took place before the League of St. Maur Dinner last week.
He and his wife Janelle have three children who have also graduated from Maur Hill-Mount Academy.
