(KNZA)--The Doniphan County Commission has approved for publication a proposed 2015 county budget of $10.1 million that calls for a 2.8 mill property tax levy increase.
The Commission took the action Monday following several weeks of discussion.
The proposed budget contains an estimated tax rate of 46.739 mills, which is raise nearly $5 million.
The Commission will consider adoption of the budget following a public hearing on September 8th at 9 in the morning in the Commissioners Room at the Doniphan County Courthouse.
