(KAIR)--An event dedicated to the tomato is coming to Atchison this weekend.
The Atchison Tomato festival will take place this Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm at the Farmers Market, located on the Commercial Street Mall. Multiple events, contests and demonstrations are planned including bobbing for tomatoes, a spaghetti eating contest, a salsa competition, a tomato toss, and a tomato stomp. Live music, food tastings, and games for the kids will also be available.
The event is free, and everyone is invited to attend.
