(KNZA)--Republican Timothy Collins will go on to challenge Democratic candidate W. Brett Niebling for Doniphan County's 1st District County Commission seat in November.
That follows the canvass of the votes from the August 5th primary election by the Doniphan County Commission on Monday.
At the conclusion of the primary election, it was a tough call to say for certain who would be the Republican nominee, with only four votes separating Collins and Bill Becker.
Doniphan County Clerk Peggy Franken says the canvass didn't change the results dramatically, but a provisional ballot did count, bringing the total votes in favor of Collins to 189 against Becker's 184.
