BEATRICE, Neb. (AP) - Visitors to the Homestead National Monument of America in southeast Nebraska this coming week can participate in everything from origami arts to weaving on a loom.
The Beatrice monument's Heritage Center is hosting Art in the Park Week beginning Sunday and running through Aug. 9. Artists will be featured daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with several leading visitors in hands-on projects and demonstrations.
Other art forms participants can experience include flute decorating and playing, quilting, pottery, stain glass artwork, china painting and glass marble making.
Admission is free.
