(KAIR)--A 28-year-old Dekalb, Missouri man is accused of selling the prescription pain reliever hydrocodone in Atchison.
According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, Derek Frakes was arrested in Buchanan County on July 9th on an Atchison County District Court Warrant charging him with one count of distributing narcotics within 1,000 feet of a school.
Wilson says that Frakes allegedly facilitated the sale of hydrocodone on April 10th from a residence located in the 300 block of Santa Fe Street. 23-year-old Atchison resident Marissa Vanwey was also arrested in connection with that case.
Frakes waived extradition, and was transported to Atchison Wednesday. He remains in the Atchison County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
