(KAIR)--An Iowa man was arrested last week on an Atchison County District Court warrant stemming from the alleged harassment of an Atchison man that started in late May.
According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, 53-year-old Red Oak Iowa resident Gary Ruckman allegedly harassed the 64-year-old victim, who is an acquaintance of his, over a period of two months. Officials believe it was a recurring situation with the text messages continuing into June, even though the investigation into the incident began May 22nd.
Ruckman was arrested Thursday in Iowa and transported to Atchison. He is facing one count each of criminal threat, stalking, and harassment by a telecommunication device.
Ruckman posted bond and was released from the Atchison County Jail later Thursday.
