(KLZA)-- The Nemaha County, Nebraska Fair will be held in Auburn Thursday, July 10th through Sunday, July 13th. The Nemaha County Agricultural Society is the sponsor for the annual event.
Highlights of this years fair include 4-h and Open Class Shows each day with the Fair parades taking place on Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th, both beginning at 6 p-m.
The Thomas D. Thomas shows will provide the Midway and carnival games and rides again this year.
An annual highlight of the Nemaha County Fair is the Log Hoggers – Wood Carvers. Shows are presented at 11 a-m, 2 p-m, 4 p-m and 7 p-m each day of the Fair. The Log Hoggers feature tree trunk sculpting into pieces of art using chain saws. A dozen carvings will be auctioned off at 6:30 Sunday evening with proceeds going to support fair activities.

7:30 a-m 4-H Food Stand opens.
8 a-m - Horse Show.
9 a-m – 4-H Horse Show.
1 p-m - Sheep Show and Meat Goat Show.
3 p-m 4-H Shooting Sports – Archery.
5 p-m – Rabbit Show.
Friday July 11th
Auburn Band and Fine Arts Boosters Food Stand and the 4-H Food Stand open all day.
8 a-m Swine Show.
10 a-m Dairy Goat & Pygmy Goat Show.
10 a-m – 4-H Shooting Sports – B.B. Gun Contest.
2 p-m Poultry Show
6 p-m - Fair Parade
6 :30 p-m Huff & Puff Garden Tractor Pull.
8 p-m – Presentation of the Pioneer Farm Family Awards honoring farm families whose land has been owned by the same family for 100 years or more.
8 – 10 p-m The Grandstand show will feature The Outlaw Junkies playing today’s country music favorites.
Saturday July 12 - Auburn Band and Fine Arts Boosters Food Stand and the 4-H Food Stand open all day.
8 a-m Bucket Calf Show/ Beef Show
10:30 a-m Clover Kid Pet Show.
11 a-m – Rocket Launch.
1 p-m – Horse and Livestock Judging Contest
6 p-m – Fair Parade
7 p-m - The Haystacking contest for all ages.
7 p-m - The Little Tuggers Pedal Tractor Pull for ages 4 – 12.
7 p-m – midnight – Beer Garden co-sponsored by the Auburn American Legion Club.
9 – 12 p-m Grandstand Show featuring Change of Heart & Now and Then.
Sunday July 13th – Auburn Band and Fine Arts Boosters Food Stand and the 4-H Food Stand open all day.
12 p-m – ATV& Tractor Driving Contest.
4:30 p-m – Presentation of McIninch Judging Trophy & 4-H Herdsmanship Awards. Followed by the 4-H Livestock Premium Sale.
6:30 p-m - Log Hoggers Wood-carving auction.
