(KAIR)--The Kansas Department of Transportation is warning Atchison residents that a major road will be closed for most of the day Sunday.
According to a release from KDOT, east and westbound K-7 from Tenth Street to Seventeenth Street will be closed for overlay work from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM Sunday, weather permitting.
No marked detour will be provided. Drivers will need to use alternate routes via the local street network during the closure. KDOT suggests that drivers take Commercial Street or Kansas Avenue to access K-7 during the closure.
