(KNZA)--Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, and the swimming season that comes with it.
However, Hiawatha pool goers will have to wait a little longer to hit the water.
That's because repair work has delayed the opening of the Hiawatha Aquatic Park.
Planned to open on Saturday, city officials say the necessary work means it will not open until Wednesday, May 28th.
