Body Found Could Be That of Missing St. Joseph Man
(KNZA)--Police are now investigating a possible connection between a missing St. Joseph man and a body found this week.
Capt. Jeff Wilson with the St. Joseph Police Department told KQ2-TV an autopsy was planned for Friday afternoon to learn more about the body found at Wyeth Hill on Thursday morning.
Wilson said they have notified the family of 57-year-old William Paige, Jr. that there is a strong possibility that the remains found could be Paige.
Police said tips that surfaced during their investigation led investigators to the body.
Wilson says his family and friends became concerned when Paige said he was going to visit a relative out of town, but never arrived. Police issued an alert for Paige on Wednesday.
Police could not reveal any information about the condition of the body. Wilson said he could not say at this time if foul play was involved.
