(KNZA)--Arraignment for a 25-year-old rural Troy man charged in the shooting death last August of his 25-year-old roommate has been postponed for a third time.
The arraignment for Eric Burge, which had been set for Wednesday in Doniphan County District Court, was continued to June 25th.
An amended complaint was filed in March charging Burge with second-degree murder, including a lesser included offense of involuntary manslaughter, along with felony criminal discharge of a firearm, aggravated assault and a misdemeanor count of hosting minors in consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Burge is charged in the shooting death of Matthew Sollars. Sollars died August 13th, one day after the shooting at the residence where the two men resided southwest of Troy.
Burge was arrested in October following an investigation by the Doniphan County Sheriff’s Department and Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
He remains in the Doniphan County Jail on $500,000 bond.
