(KLZA) -- Mound City Students have excelled in recent events and will be moving on to compete nationally later this year.
The Scholar Bowl Team won both the Conference and District titles and will host a Sectional competition on Wednesday. The team has been invited to participate in the national tournament May 2 and 3 in Minneapolis.
Lily Grant and Erin Acton won first place in the State Future Business Leaders of America competition and will travel to nationals in Nashville, Tennessee June 29th – July 2nd.
Mound City traditionally has a large percentage of students take the ACT test. This year 85 percent participated. The average of 22.1 was higher than last years average.
