(KLZA) -- The third annual Outdoor Adventure is scheduled for Saturday, April 19th at Indian Cave State Park, near Shubert.
Registration begins at 7 a-m with the Morel Mile and 5-kilometer run to begin at 8 a-m. A mushroom hunt contest begins at 9 a-m.
During the day a number of activities are planned including children’s horse rides; a red bud hayrack tour; black powder shooting; wood carving; living history displays and Dutch Oven cooking demonstrations. Other activities include bird watching, archery shooting and there will be pelt exhibits and an Ak-Sar-Ben fish display will be set up.
The Raptor Recovery program will present information from 11 a-m until noon and between noon and 1:30 p-m there will be a fish fry lunch featuring fried catfish and all the fixins.
A glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt is to be held for toddlers through age 11 beginning at 8 p-m.
