(KNZA)--The victim of Monday night's fatal Jackson County tractor accident has been identified.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says 64-year-old Alan Schlodder died north of Holton when the tractor he was operating rolled down a terrace.
According to Morse, Schlodder was transporting a large hay bale on the front of the tractor; and, the weight, along with a steep grade and the angle of travel, were all factors in the tractor overturning.
Morse says his department, along with Holton Fire and Rescue and Jackson County EMS, rushed to 27234 P. Road, shortly before 9:00.
That's where a family member found Schlodder pinned beneath the tractor.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
