(KLZA) A third candidate has thrown his hat into the ring seeking the position of Richardson County Sheriff.
Don Pounds of Falls City has filed on the Republican ticket. Pounds, longtime Nebraska State Patrol Investigator joins incumbent Randy Houser and Falls City Mayor Tim Hersh in seeking the Republican nomination.
Currently there are no Democrats seeking the position.
The deadline to file to run for office in the May primary election in Nebraska is 5 p-m Monday, March 3rd.
