(KNZA)-- Morrill and Janes Bank and Trust Company plans to close it’s branches in Troy and Lancaster.
President and CEO Kurt Saylor says the last day of business at the branches in Troy and Lancaster will be on March 14th. He says the bank’s board of directors made the decision.
Saylor said the accounts currently maintained at the Troy branch will be transferred to the Atchison branch and the Lancaster branch bank is to be consolidated with the Atchison branch.
Saylor says employees at both Troy and Lancaster are being given the opportunity to transfer to one of their four other banks in Atchison, Hiawatha, Onaga or Sabetha.
In October of last year, Morrill and Janes merged with Iowa-based Heartland Financial USA, Inc.
Morrill and Janes also has facilities in Merriam and Lenexa in Kansas and at Lee’s Summit and North Kansas City in Missouri.
