(KAIR)--Union Pacific railroad crossing repair work is set to start Tuesday in Atchison, meaning a rerouting of traffic as work is conducted at the 10th Street crossing, north of US 59 Highway.
According to a release from KDOT, the project will start at 7:00 Tuesday morning, and is expected to be completed by 3:00 Thursday afternoon, weather permitting. Advance message boards will remind motorists of the closure, and a marked detour will be provided. K7 traffic will detour via Main Street to Woodlawn Avenue to K9 to U.S. 59 Highway.
The work was originally scheduled to start Monday, but was moved back one day due to the Presidents Day Holiday.
