(KNZA)--Additional applications will be sought to be the next superintendent of the Holton school district.
Following a closed-door session, the USD 336 Board of Education during their regular meeting this week directed Superintendent Nancy Meyer to repost the position in order to attract more applicants.
The board recently interviewed three candidates for the position.
Meyer is retiring at the end of the current school year.
The USD 336 board will hold a special meeting Monday evening at 6 to finalize a bond resolution for the construction of a new elementary school.
The district plans to hold special election May 6th on the bond issue.
