(KLZA) -- The staff and administration of Falls City High School have announced the selections for January High School Students of the Month. The honors go to the following students:
Upperclassmen- Derik Eickhoff, a junior, is the son of Darren and Donna Eickhoff. Sydney Armbruster, a junior, is the daughter of Duane and Theresa Armbruster.
Underclassmen- Morgen Valentine, a sophomore, is son of Ernie and Laurel Valentine. Megan Vollmer, a sophomore, is the daughter of Kevin and Julie Vollmer.
The students were nominated by high school staff on their academic achievements, attitude, classroom contributions and work ethic. Each of the students was praised in nomination comments for “academic excellence, going above and beyond what was asked of them, their helpfulness, and their leadership, and serving as excellent role models for their peers,” according to high school principal Gale Dunkhas.
