Lincoln to Host Beef Conference This Summer
(AP) - Top researchers and major players in the beef industry will gather in Lincoln this summer.
The Beef Improvement Federation will hold its annual meeting and research symposium at the Cornhusker Marriott in Lincoln June 18-21.
The U.S. Meat Animal Research Center, Nebraska Cattlemen and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln are all helping host the event.
UNL associate professor Matt Spangler says it's fitting that the event is in Nebraska this year because the federal Meat Animal Research Center is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Speakers will cover a variety of topics to help cattle ranchers and feedlot operators produce better beef.
