(KLZA) -- Windchill temperatures were around 15 below zero Wednesday morning when two more sections of the old Missouri River Bridge at Rulo were imploded.
The final section over the river and a span on the Missouri side of the river came down around 8:15 a-m.
Mike Habegger wtih the Nebraska Department of Roads said the river span came down in smaller chunks. Habegger said everything went well despite some concerns with the snow overnight and the increase of the amount of ice in the river.
Two more implosions are planned. One will bring down the pier still standing in the river to water level and a second one below water level to get the pier down to the level needed to allow navigation on the river.
