(KLZA) -- With the forecast for heavy snow possibly falling in the region the Falls City Police Department would like to remind residents not to park on the North or East sides of the City streets until after the snow plow has gone through.
The ordinance will be enforced and tickets will be issued to vehicles parked on the north and east sides of the street when city crews are trying to plow the snow.
After the snow plow has been by, vehicles can then be parked on the north and east sides of the streets so the south and west sides of the streets can be cleared.
In Humboldt, once 2 inches of snow has accumulated there is not parking of vehicles allowed on emergency routes and on secondary streets residents of Humboldt can only park on the north and east sides of the streets on even numbered days and on the south and west sides of the streets on odd numbered days until the snow is cleared.
The publics cooperation is appreciated in making it easier to clear the streets.
