(KNZA)--Suspicious early Tuesday morning activity in Holton lands two men in jail.
Police Chief Gale Gakle says an officer was called to 303 Kansas where a suspicious pickup truck, with trailer attached, was spotted parked at a residence around 5:30.
With the trailer untagged, and the pickup's stolen tag improperly displayed, it was quickly learned that both the truck and trailer had been stolen from separate locations.
Two men in the truck, 20-year-old Mayetta resident Gino Vicchullo and 38-year-old Chad Askins, of Topeka, were arrested for felony possession of stolen property.
Further investigation led to additional charges for both, including possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of the prescription pain killer fentanyl and possession of marijuana.
Both Vicchullo and Askins were booked into the Jackson County Jail on the charges.
