(KNZA)--A Netawaka man has filed for 1st District Jackson County Commissioner.
Bob McNicholas is the first candidate to file for the position currently held by Ed Kathrens.
McNicholas previously ran unsuccessfully for sheriff.
Candidates have until June 2nd to file.
The 1st District commission seat is the only county office up for election this fall in Jackson County.
The general election will be November 4th.
