(KAIR)--Repair crews from the city of Atchison are still hard at work repairing a water main break on US 59 highway. The break occurred just after 2:00 Thursday morning and while most of the city had full service restored around 7:00, there are still some businesses and residents directly on the main who may experience low water pressure.
The city has issued a release saying that crews are having to do more excavating than expected, and this has made repairs difficult to complete. The latest estimate to have service restored is sometime between 5:30 and 8:30 Thursday evening.
City officials sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
