(KNZA)--A Jackson County Courthouse altercation with law enforcement lands a Mayetta man in jail.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says the Sheriff’s Office and Holton Police were called to a disturbance Wednesday on the 4th floor of the courthouse outside the Jackson County Attorney’s office.
Arrested was Jason Stotts whose actions, according to Morse, led to him being tased.
Stotts was booked into the Jackson County Jail on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer, assault on a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct. He was later released on $25,000 bond.

While everyone seems to make a big deal out of this, let me clarify that Jason was at the DA office for the 14th time trying to talk to them about his son, so they wont file charges against his son. Lets also clarify for the record that there was NO altercation...this is an act of Jackson Co. acting like they are above the law. Pretty crappy to me that you would tase someone because they wouldnt sit down...really? I also find it hard to believe battery/assault charges on someone that didnt do anything but put his hands behind his back & called the Jackson Co. officers a few choice names...again, look at the people making a big deal out of it...worthless!!

Jason is the one who had his son arrest. I highly doubt he was there to remedy that. Hes not real big on admitting hes wrong. Really....he visited the DA 14 times? Thats sound a little excessive, more like harassment. Maybe the conflict of interest he is referring to in regards to Judge Ireland is because he has stood before him many many times for various reasons in the past several years. Maybe he is afraid Judge Ireland will use his knowledge in an effort to make fair judgement. Besides the fact that Judge Ireland represent his ex-wife, as her attorney several years ago, hardly seems relevant. And put this in your pocket.....not the first time he has had to be subdued by officers. While married to his ex-wife officers were called to their home because he was high on meth and holding his infant daughter, threatening his ex wife. And yes he was tased. Is it also a conflict of interest that the now Jackson Co. Sheriff was also one of the officers on the scene at that time. I think not. Karma really has nothing to do with it.
