(KAIR)--Atchison based Blish-Mize, a leading hardlines distributor, has announced that long time employee and son of former CEO John Mize has been appointed the company's new CEO.
Jonathon Mize has a long history with the company that spans over three decades. He has been with the company for 24 years, and in that time, he has worked his way up from the bottom of the ladder to the top holding various roles with the company while living in Colorado and Kansas City, though he has been back in Atchison for the last sixteen years.
Mize says that he his honored to be appointed and that he looks forward to continuing the progress the company has made under his father's leadership. With the company entering into its 143rd year, his main focus is to keep the company going, since there are not many companies like Blish-Mize still around.
John Mize has high praise for his son, saying that he is sure that the company will thrive under his son's leadership, and that he has earned the right to lead Blish-Mize as CEO.
Customers of Blish-Mize include building materials dealers, home centers, and hardware stores. They are also a fulfillment center for many online retailers.
