Pawnee City Approves Contracts for Housing Rehab Grant Administration

(KTNC) --  The Pawnee City Council approved a resolution Monday night authorizing the Mayor to execute two contracts with the Southeast Nebraska Development District.
 One contract for up to $25,000 allows SENDD to manage the city’s Housing Rehab program.  Another contract for $15,000 is for lead paint hazard screening and clearance exams within the Housing Rehab project.
 Pawnee City has received a $310,000 grant that will be used to rehabilitate 10 owner-occupied homes.
 In other action Monday, the Pawnee City Council approved the nomination of City Clerk Tammy Stephens to the Airport Authority board.  Stephens will serve as the Bonded Treasurer on the board.
