(KMZA)--A new logo has been selected to represent the mascot chosen for the new Nemaha Central Middle School and High School, effective for the 2014-2015 school year.
USD 115 Superintendent Darrel Kohlman says K-11th grade students and staff voted on a new logo Tuesday from among five design suggestions.
In October, students selected the Thunder as the new mascot.
Students and community members were then asked to submit logo designs to represent the new mascot.
The USD 115 Board of Education voted in March to close the B & B Junior-Senior High School at the end of the 2013-2014 school year. All district students are to attend school in Seneca beginning in the 2014-2015 school year.
