(KAIR)--A longtime Atchison resident, and 40-year employee of MGP Ingredients, is a million dollars richer.
According to Kansas Lottery Spokeswoman Sally Lunsford, Guy Harvey purchased a Powerball ticket Tuesday, and matched the first five numbers, leading to the million dollar win Wednesday.
The numbers were selected in memory of his mother, with Harvey using a combination of her birthday and the date she died.
Harvey purchased the ticket at Atchison Cash Saver, formerly known as Country Mart.
