( KMZA)--The manager of a Seneca motel is facing multiple charges.
Seneca Police Chief Brent Schulte says sometime between June and December of this year, business checks were taken from the Seneca Motel located in the 11-hundred block of North Street. Within the last week, several checks were passed in the Sabetha area.
Just after midnight Tuesday, Schulte said police located the motel manager, 36-year-old Joann Garascia, and brought her in for questioning. Sabetha Police also arrived to assist since they were investigating the check cases from their jurisdiction.
Schulte says several blank motel checks, along with suspected methamphetamine residue and drug paraphernalia, were found in Garascia’s possession. She was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on the drug charges along with multiple counts of forgery and theft by deception.
Schulte says the investigation continues and more charges and arrests are expected.
