(KNZA)--Despite mostly clear conditions reported on area highways, it's a different story for side roads which remain slick due to the recent round of winter weather.
Brown County Sheriff John Merchant says his department has worked a number of slideoffs Friday, continuing into the afternoon, many hours after the freezing rain and sleet came to an end.
Merchant cautions motorists traveling on county roads to be aware of the potential danger and to slow down and use caution as they make their daily commute.
Despite the slideoffs, no injuries have been reported locally.
