(KNZA)--Special honors for a local area administrator, as Doniphan West Middle School Principal Kristy Ellis is named Middle School Principal of the Year.
The selection of Ellis for the 2013-2014 school year was made by the Kansas Association of Middle School Administrators.
Association Executive Director John Sanborn says Ellis has been an active member member of KAMSA for a number of years, and was viewed as deserving of the honor.
She was selected by a KAMSA committee following strong comments in her favor collected from such associates as Superintendent Rex Bollinger.
Ellis will officially receive her award during the Kansas Association of Middle School Administrators spring conference luncheon on May 9th at Washburn Rural Middle School in Topeka.
