(KMZA)--Negotiations continue between Nemaha Central USD 115 and Highland Community College for the college’s purchase of the B & B school facilities in Baileyville that will be vacated at the end of the school year.
During a special meeting Thursday evening, the USD 115 board of education directed Superintendent Darrel Kohlman to offer the facilities for $350,000, after hearing that HCC has offered $325,000. The board originally asked $500,000 for the property.
HCC has expressed interest in opening a regional education center in the former B & B school.
The property under consideration is the school including both gyms, the shop building and parking lot. It doesn’t include the football field.
