(KLZA) -- Richardson County Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert updated Commissioners this week on a number of projects ongoing in the County including the Preston Road Project. Huppert noted a bridge project at Humboldt is expected to be completed this week.
Sealed bids for the purchase of a motor grader will be received on Tuesday, November 5th at 11 a-m and sealed bids for the construction of the collapsed bridge Northwest of Humboldt will be received by 11 a-m on Tuesday, November 12th.
Huppert also noted that due to a publication error of the legal notice, the receipt of sealed bids for the purchase of tires for Road Department vehicles has been changed to 11:15 a-m on Tuesday, November 5th.
Commissioners rejected a proposal received from Froeschl Construction to settle a distress warrant for delinquent personal property taxes from 2008, 2009 and 2010, which included interest and penalties. The proposal was to pay the total tax due if the County would waive the interest and penalties. The total bill was just over $3,600 with the interest and penalties accounting for nearly $1,200 of the total.
EDGE Executive Director Beckie Cromer presented the organizations third quarter report. Commissioners also approved a petty cash account for the Richardson County Emergency Management Agency.
