Sex Offender Charged with Assaulting Girl in SE Neb.
(AP) - A convicted sex offender has been charged with sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl in southeast Nebraska.
Online court records say 48-year-old Harold Johnson faces three felony counts that prosecutors say stem from incidents in Odell after his release from prison in June 2012.
The girl told her mother and then authorities that Johnson had touched her inappropriately on more than one occasion.
The Nebraska Sex Offender Registry says Johnson was convicted in May 1995 of sexually assaulting a child. He was released from prison in June 2012.
Johnson remained in Gage County Jail on Wednesday.
