(Topeka, KS) – On Saturday, October 19, 1:45 PM, Mid-America Mensa will host a public testing session at Mabee Library, Room 206B, Washburn University, Topeka, KS.
(Columbia, MO) – On Sunday, October 20, 1:30 PM, Mid-America Mensa will host a public testing session at Dorsey Hall, Room 206, Columbia College, Columbia, MO.
The Mensa Admission Test includes two tests that feature questions involving logic and deductive reasoning. A person who scores at or above the 98th percentile on one of these tests qualifies for membership in the international organization. A certified Mensa proctor supervises the testing session.
“One in 50 people qualifies for membership,” said Ammon Mahurin, president of Mid-America Mensa. “If you think you might qualify, you probably do.”
Mid-America Mensa includes 614 active members and is one of 132 local Mensa chapters nationwide. The test is open to anyone age 14 and older, but parental permission is required for those ages 14-17. Test takers should bring a photo ID and the testing fee of $40 payable by cash, check, or credit card. To reserve a place please contact Rhonda Johnston, Testing Coordinator, at rjohnston99@aol.com. Walk-ins will be admitted as space allows.
