(KNZA)--Alleged drug sales near a Holton school came to an end following one arrest late Thursday night.
That word from Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse who says a joint investigation with Holton police led to the apprehension of 22-year-old Randy Hyatt, Junior, as he was allegedly engaged in a drug transaction in the 800 block of Wisconsin Street in Holton.
Following the arrest, a search warrant was obtained, and Hyattt's 810 Washington Street apartment searched Friday morning. Morse says items believed to be methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were seized.
Hyatt now faces charges of distribution of meth within 1000 feet of a school, conspiracy to distribute meth within 1000 feet of a school, using a communication device in the commission of a felony drug crime. He also faces similar charges, including felony possession, in connection with the marijuana.
Hyatt was booked into the Jackson County jail on the charges.
