(KLZA) -- The Holt County Cancer Fund, Inc. will host a Health Fair Wednesday evening in the Community Room in The Klub at Mound City.
The event is free. Booths will open at 6 p-m with speakers scheduled to start at 6:15 p-m. While the emphasis for the Health Fair is cancer, various free health screenings will be available during the event.
Speakers and their topics include Karen Wedlcok at 6:15 p-m on diabetes; Valerie Steensen at 6:45 on the importance of proper nutrition during cancer treatments and energy – nutrition packed foods. Bonnie Goins from the Heartland Cancer Center will speak at 7:15 p-m on medical advancements in cancer treatment at 7:45 p-m there will be a cancer survivor discussion panel.
Screenings for vision and hearing, blood pressure, oral health, teeth and oral tissue, skin cancer and blood sugar will be available throughout the evening.
