Vehicle Stolen In Atchison Ends Up In Kansas City
09/23/2013

(KAIR)--A truck stolen in Atchison Friday has been recovered in Kansas City.

Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson says a 2002 Ford F250 Diesel pickup truck was taken from the residence of Steven Boldridge located in the 900 block of George just after noon Friday.

Wilson says the Atchison Police Department received a call from the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department around 6:30 Monday morning informing them that the truck had been found in a residential neighborhood in Kansas City.

Lenexa police had been looking for two motorcycles that had been stolen from their area and used GPS data to track down the two cycles, which turned up in the bed of the stolen pickup truck. There was no damage reported on either the motorcycles or the truck, and both will be returned to their owners as soon as possible.

The Atchison Police Department is working with both the Lenexa and the Kansas City Kansas Police Departments on the case.  There are currently no suspects, but we will keep you updated with the latest information as it becomes available.
